My parents starting watching The Pitch to find out what Gary and I do for a living. I’m hoping this means they’ll stop referring to Gary as Don Draper.

The only thing that Gary and Don Draper have in common is that they are both Creative Directors. Oh and Gary gets drunk at work. Kidding. Sort of.
Hey, we’re in advertising. Drinks happen.
And so does Mother’s Day. If you hurry, there is still time to get one of these awesome plates from Ceramica Botanica for your mama.

I’m pretty sure Gary/Don has already purchased my Mother’s Day Gift(s).  Unless he’s too drunk.

  • Like your parents, I, too, am advertising naive and I am loving The Pitch. Were you ticked that they showed a commercial from the winning advertising firm’s tri-branded “+HELP” before the end of the episode? I was pretty ticked. Why would the network let them do that? Plus, isn’t the whole hour pretty much a continuous commercial for their company?
    Have a great day!

  • Totally and ad for the company – I actually think that is the only reason why an agency would agree to it. McKinney is actually very well respected in the industry and I know a few people that have worked there. That’s why I was sort of surprised they would do the show.
