Last night I watched Antiques Road Show. Does this make me an antique?

After watching the road show for 30 minutes Gary finally asked me change the channel. Rude. But when I tell you what I saw you’ll want to watch as well:
(1) Bob Dylan poster brought in by an old hippie’s daughter. Valued at $12,000-$15,000.

(2) Purse revolver from the late 1870’s from Germany brought in by a chimney sweeper. Valued at $3,000-$5,000.

(3) Ugly nautical painting featuring mermaids by Ralph Cahoon brought in by a not-so-clueless woman. Valued at $30,000-$50,000.

I don’t know about you but that show makes me want to clean out every nook and cranny and make me some $$$. Although I have a feeling that anything found in my basement would only make it on the bloopers reel. Instead of embarrassing myself, I’m just going to shop for antique purses from Good Old Beads and keep them for myself. Why you ask? Because they’re pretty and it’s Friday.

  • oh my gosh. I love that show. And, it also drives my husband crazy when I watch it. But, it sucks me in. Every time.
