It’s time for a new work husband. Fortunately, my old one offered to give me a good recommendation.

I started a new freelance contract a few days ago (goooooo me) and I felt something I haven’t felt in a long time – nervous about not knowing anyone. I was at my last job for over five years and knew everyone really, really well. Really. So here I am, nervously picking out my outfit and actually brushing my hair (I know, right?!)

I’m seriously hoping people will like me more if I hang pretty watercolors from Print Maker Jen in my cubicle. My plan is to win over the artsy fartsy people first and then take it from there.

And hey, if that doesn’t work, I’ll just put a candy bowl at my desk. What’s the saying? Money, candy and pretty art can buy friends? No? Me thinks yes.
