I delayed an appointment because I needed to see the winners of Flea Market Flip. Spoiler Alert: The aloof hippies lost.
Does anyone else spend a ridiculous amount of time watching silly shows on HGTV? Of course you do. My latest mindless addiction is Flea Market Flip—where two pairs buy some junk at a flea market, transform said junk into fancier junk and then try to re-sell it for a major profit. Plot twists galore…not really. On yesterday’s episode, a hippie couple decided to not sell people on the actual furniture, but on the vibe instead…yeah, no one bought it. Literally.
The good news is there are super creative people out there that really do excel at upcyling—like LINKS by Annette. This smart lady, takes old bicycle chains and turns them into fabo pieces of art. These are literally the perfect holiday gifts for the bike rider in your life.
I mean I don’t even own a bike, but I want this necklace. Confession: I didn’t learn how to ride a bike until I turned 10. My daughter taught herself when she was 4. Oy.
By the way, tomorrow is my daughter’s 8th birthday and she’s acting like it’s her wedding, prom and 21st birthday combined. While I’m not certain what she’s expecting to happen, I am sure the reality will be waayyyy less exciting than she’s imagined. BUT…she is getting a new bike + a unicycle.
