I’m doing it for the kids—truth be told, my son’s future depends on my new shoes. Heh. And since I’m motherofthefreakingyear (self-nominated five years in a row) I’m going to buy some for the kids too.
Fortunately Me and Reekie makes these adorably cozy slippers (that I’m hoping arrive in shoe boxes) for both adults and kids.
I know, I know. I’m Jewish. I don’t celebrate Lent. But hey, I support all religions and I really think I should stop complaining. Take today, for example. It’s raining. Hard. And I want an afternoon Starbucks . See? Complaining.
So in an effort to be more positive, I’m going to think about Spring. The season of awesomeness. And all my positive thoughts landed me at After Shower Shop — home of the most fantastic spring dresses around. And they’re totally affordable people! Which means you can buy more than one.
OK, so I’ve been doing some thinking since I started writing this post. I don’t think I’ll give up complaining for Lent after all. Why? Because I sort of excel at it.
That’s a summary of my life these past few weeks. Not that I’m complaining but it sort of broke my heart when I was skyping with my son from the office last night and he said “come home soon mommy.” (I know, a real tearjerker, right?)
Luckily, I found these adorable bow tie dog collars from Silly Buddy to turn my frown upside down. Seriously people. I. can’t. stand it. These are so cute, they could make even the stinkiest dog loveable (ahem Karma).
Ooooops, that just reminded me. I don’t think I fed my this morning. Or the kids for that matter.
The season of white pants is over (not that it ever really started for me) and sweaters are still a couple of months away for those of us that live down South. Fortunately, there are these little inventions called scarves to spice up my wardrobe until I get to pull out my winter wear.
Swak Shop is what happens when awesomeness and comfy cozy come together for an illicit love affair (so poetic, right)?
Is it a hat? Is it a scarf? Does it matter? Nope. I just want one – pronto. Actually I want one of everything from Swak Shop.
And while we’re sort of on the subject, can someone please tell me the difference between knitting and crocheting? I’m a little low in the IQ department.
I love clothes almost as much as I love food – and that’s saying a lot. But I sort of feel like they’re all starting to look the same. Yeah GAP, I’m talking to you – but not to you Anthropologie. I love you. Anyhoo, my heart totally went pitter-patter when I spotted Modest Maven.
These clothes are rad, in the same way that a black and white cookie with a side of sweet, sweet coca-cola is rad (i know, totally off topic but I’m starving over here).
Hey look, there are even clothes for pregos! I wish I knew about this before I wore ugly moo-moos for 9 months.
Modest Maven. Check it.
I love to cook. And well, I’ve pretty much perfected the art of eating (hence the elastic pants I’m sporting today). Cleaning up? Now that is an entirely different story.
So when I stumbled across these aprons from Annies Attic, I seriously started to drool more than my teething 8-month old. They just make me want to head into the kitchen and eat something, I mean make something.
Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers. And in case you’re wondering, I’m the keeper and you’re the weeper.
OK so maybe you gals (and guys – hey, I don’t judge) can’t relate to this but I HATE wearing heals. Hells yes I’m a material girl, but I’m also into shoes that won’t give me bunions (sorry grandma, but your feet ain’t right). Enter super awesome shoes from ONSTAIL.
And the purses? Hello. Pleasure to meet you. I’m officially in love with everything ONSTAIL has to offer. All for me. None for you. Too bad. So sad.
